Okeeheelee Golf Course

Okeeheelee's golf course is a county-owned, 27-hole facility built across three nine-hole layouts that can be combined into three different 18-hole rounds. It's one of the busiest public courses in Palm Beach County, with a full pro shop, practice areas, and the Okee Grill for a post-round bite.

Three nine-hole courses, one property

Rather than a single 18-hole routing, Okeeheelee is laid out as three distinct nine-hole courses. Golfers can pair any two of the three for an 18-hole round, which gives the course more flexibility for pace of play and lets the county keep sections open for maintenance without shutting the whole facility down. The terrain reflects the property's past life as a sand and rock mine — expect rolling fairways, water features carved from old mining pits, and greens that reward accurate approach shots more than raw distance.

Pro shop, lessons, and the Okee Grill

The course runs a full-service pro shop for club rental, tee time bookings, and merchandise, along with a practice putting green to warm up before a round. PGA-affiliated staff are on hand for lessons, and the on-site Okee Grill serves the kind of casual food and drinks you'd expect at a public course — a burger and a cold drink after the back nine, not a formal clubhouse dining room. Carts are available, and walking is permitted, which keeps the course accessible to golfers who want the exercise as much as the game.

Good to know before you book

As a Palm Beach County-owned course, Okeeheelee prices its greens fees well below most private and resort courses in the area, and residents typically get a further discount over non-residents. Tee times can be booked online or by phone through the course's own booking system, and like most public courses in South Florida, weekend mornings are the busiest window — booking a few days ahead is worth it during the cooler winter season when snowbirds are in town. Rates and tee time availability change seasonally, so check the course's own site for current pricing before you go.
